Please find Entry list and Final Instructions below for the Kia National Twinshock Championship Round 4 to be held at Offerton Hall, Hathersage on Sunday 19th May 2019.
A big thank you to the landowner for allowing us to use this fantastic land, Richard Timps, Josh Atkinson and Mick Dubik for setting out and thank you to Bex & Marilyn for sorting the entries & everyone involved!
Massive thanks to the 7 observers, if anyone is interested in observing please let us know as it’s always good to get all the sections observed properly, we pay £20 per observer plus you get a meal voucher to get food and drink at the butty wagon.
Our next trial is a round of the Kia National Twinshock Championship at Offerton Hall on the 19th of May. Entries are via the ACU online system and the closing date is the 15th of May. This will be 2 laps of 20 sections so if you have an old bike hidden away then dig it out and come for a ride. Observers are required and we will give you a free ride in one of our club trials if you help out. Please contact Richard Timperley on 07545 468341 if you can help. Our next club trial is in July, more details to follow and we hope to see you there!
A big thank you to Joe Spivey and Corey Dubik for setting out, thank you to Bex & Marilyn for sorting the entries & everyone else involved! Thanks to Paula for bringing her fantastic Chefswagon. We are making this a regular thing so please support her at future trials. Massive thanks to all the observers. On a slightly upsetting note, I don’t know the full details but, one of the observers handed their board back to the start tent after a disagreement with a couple of riders. We would like to remind all riders to be polite to the observers and should we hear of any further behaviour of this sort, we will be taking matters extremely seriously, which could result in the offending riders being banned from future trials by this club.
ACU codes, anyone who has paid for our club membership and requires a ACU code to renew their licence please text ACU CODE + your name to 07545468341 and we’ll send your unique code in return. For members who haven’t yet paid the membership fee, you can join and pay for our club membership while renewing your licence on the ACU website, so no code is required.
Our next trial is the annual Christmas Trial on the 27th December at Eadons Fields Dronfield starting at 10:30am. Please bring an observer as riders will receive a free ride in return but otherwise observers will be rewarded for their time. Please note that there will not be a butty van as Paula is away on her holidays. We hope to see you all there!
This Sunday is Round 1 of the 2018/19 Winter Trials Championship at Stonedge Quarry, Chesterfield S45 0HW starting at 10:30am. 3 laps of 12 sections are planned and if any riders providing an observer will receive a free ride and all observers will receive a gift.
Paula is bringing her fantastic Chefs Wagon catering van to provide refreshments throughout the day. We are hoping to make this a regular thing so please support her.

A massive thank you to Richard and Mark Timperley, Leigh Elliot and Josh Atkinson to name but a few of the many who contributed to clearing out and setting out of the great sections. A massive thank you to Gill & Marilyn for sorting out the sign on in the morning and handling all of the punchcards so the result could flow swiftly. Thank you to Carol Timperley for setting out the score board & everyone involved in the behind the scenes magic that allowed the trial to run so smoothly today!
Massive thanks to all the observers who gave up their time, as riders please remember to thank them, they are only there for you to have fun. Thank you to all of the land owners for letting us use their land for all of the great sections and access between them. A huge thank you goes to Mill Farm for the superb start venue and facilities.
David Shard has kindly let us use his photo’s from the event, there is loads more on his Facebook page.
Observers information is below for Sunday. Can all observers be at Mill Farm in plenty of time (7:30 am onwards) to collect their equipment, have a butty and a drink etc and then get to their section. There are rough ETA’s on the attached list but these are very rough as the ground is very dry so the riders may be a fair bit quicker than estimated.
The entry list and final instructions are now available below for the Hallamshire Trial this Sunday 28th October.
There is also a map and section list below.
We look forward to seeing you all at Mill Farm on Sunday morning.
