S&H – Oset Rd 2 – Results & Report

The second round for the Oset’s was held at Yorkshire Bridge, a fantastic new venue. A great day was had by all and lots of family came to show their support which was wonderful. Big thanks go to Joe Spivey for finding this venue and setting out the sections.

Well done to Thomas Wright, Joel Isherwood and Luke Gibbons for winning their respective routes and a special mention to Luke Gibbons for getting the prize for effort.

We had five children attend for their first trial, a big well done to them as they showed some great effort and most importantly had big smiles on their faces all day.

Our next trial is on Saturday 2nd July at Brough. Hope to see you all there!

S&H – Oset Rd 1

On Sunday 15th May, Sheffield and Hallamshire trials club held their first Oset trial of the year. These trials are aimed at children who are new to trials and just want to ride and have fun.

There were a few who came for their first ever trial and some who came along to spectate and find out more. All of the kids put in some great effort and had lots of fun, which is what it’s all about! All the family is welcome and it was great to see everyone supporting the kids and watch them grow in confidence in the sections.

The group usually splits in to two groups to allow the kids more riding time, first completing a set of 5 sections one way then after lunch the same 5 sections are ridden in reverse. There’s always a chance for the kids to have a play about at the end too.

For Max and Lucas it was their first trial and they both put in lots of effort in the sections. Well done to Theon and Stanley for a joint first place and Sam for winning their respective routes. A huge well done to all.

If you haven’t rode the Brough Rough N’ before, it is a trial like no other! It is a big lap, all off road, 1 route trial. The sections range from very easy, to almost impossible, but nothing is dangerous. Sections close at 4pm and you choose the amount of laps you want to do.

ACU East Midlands Youth Championships – Entries Closing 29th May

Entries for the 2015 ACU East Midlands Youth championships need to be in before the 29th May. We currently have more prizes than entries, even if you don’t think you have a chance of winning it could be worth your time. 🙂 Adults are welcome to ride the trial and entries will be taken on the day, any youth wishing to be eligible in the championship must pre-enter.

Michelin have helped out with tyres for the A & B class winners, and we have a selection of other prizes for the C, D & E class riders.

The competition will be held on the 7th June @ Eadens Fields, Dronfield.

A, B & C Class riders will be riding the main course. If you are worried that the trial will be too hard, please don’t. Just because the trial is for the Youth championships, this does not mean it will be any harder than a usual club trial. The hard route will be made easier than normal.
