Results for the Brough Rough ‘N – Charity Trial – Saturday 31st August

What a trial, it’s the first time in a long while that I’ve seen so many happy faces, that says it all to me! so I guess you all enjoyed it too! Hopefully we’ll run the trial again next year and get it on a Sunday so a few more of you can come and ride too.

So here are the results from the Brough Rough ‘N 2013

Thanks again to every one who came, helped out, observed or donated and a big thanks to Jonny Carr for organising me to help him with this excellent event, Tim Pearson for sorting most of the PR out, Andy and Josh Atkinson for the admin and a huge thanks to Malcolm for kindly letting us use his land.

Brough Rough’ N – Charity Trial – Saturday 31st August

broughroughnOn Saturday the 31st August Sheffield & Hallamshire Motorcycle Club will be running a charity trial at Brough near Bradwell to raise money and awareness for SANDS (Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Charity)

SANDS is a charity which provides support to anybody who has been affected by the death of a baby as well as promoting research into reducing the number of babies lives lost and aiming to improve the quality of care and services offered to bereaved families. Currently 17 babies are stillborn or die shortly after birth every single day in the UK alone.

The trial will be a 17 section, 1 route trial, with easy route doing 2 laps, clubman route 3 laps, and the hard route doing 4 laps.  The sections will be designed to be hard work, but achievable for clubman riders.

The trial will be limited to 100 riders, so please enter as early as possible.   We will also be providing sponsorship forms to all riders, so please raise as much money as possible for this wonderful charity.

To make this event run smoothly, we will also need 17 observers, so if you think you can help, please let us know.

To enter please fill in and return the BROUGH ROUGH N ENTRY-FORM.pdf and read the Regs for Brough Rough ‘N.pdf

If you would like to donate some money to this charity, please visit this page: http://www.justgiving.com/broughroughn

Sheffield and Hallamshire Christmas Trial 27 Dec 2012 Eadons Fields

Well it was a tough one but I think most of you enjoyed the very challenging sections set out in the very slippy conditions found at Eadons fields. A big thanks goes to Andy, Josh, Mick, Richard and Mark for the efforts in organising the trial, Grant Kangley for the use of the venue and last but definitely not least all the observers for standing out there in the cold. Hope you’ve all had a great Christmas and all the best for the new year.

Let us know what you thought of the trial in the comments, your feedback will help us make it better hopefully.

Results Dudwood Farm 02.12.2012

I’m sure most of you will have spotted a Tiger (Joe Spivey), a Lion (Tim Pearson) and Santa (Jake Eley) riding at the trial this weekend, this was Joe’s idea to help raise money for the Dronfield First Responders. Joe’s words “So happy with my fund raising today was great I would like to thank every for sponsoring me and Tim, over all we have about £300 🙂 and a huge thanks to Barry Burton!!!
Also was a megga day riding with Timmy, joshi, chris and georgie boy ;))”

Community First Responders are volunteers trained to attend emergency calls received by the ambulance service and provide care until the ambulance arrives. They can arrive at an emergency in a matter of minutes, as they are sent to calls in their local area.

Joe’s family have had a lot of help from the first responders, they helped his uncle when he had a massive heart attack and helped his granddad when he had both his strokes, this is a very worthwhile cause as you or a member of your family may need the first responders one day.

If you’d like to help with a small donation please come see Tim at SplatShop or send Tim a gift payment through Paypal to tim@morangie.org or give cash to Joe Spivey personally.
